Actually I saw DoA as well, it wasn't too bad for a videogame movie. I'd Rank it above Street Fighter but below Mortal Kombat.

As for movies I've seen recently, I went to see Shoot Em Up in theatres. I loved it thoroughly, but you have to enjoy the style. It's an action film that, while staying true to the genre, pokes fun at action films. Other than that...I finally got to see a classic called Ladyhawke, apparently everybody but me has already seen it, but if you haven't I definitely recomend it.

Quite right, though I think the length is often improved with a miniseries. 30 minutes to an hour is good for a short story, like a TV show. 2 hours is good for a bit longer of a story, something that sticks to a single main plot, but has time to work in character developement. For things like novel adaptations or lengthly stories, a nice 3-4 part mini-series works well, something that takes up a good 4-8 hours.

Have you watched anything good lately?

Quite the taste in film you have. What part of Canada are you from?
